January 2020 New Game Releases

Here are all the new games and DLCs coming to Xbox One, PS4, PC, and the Switch in January!

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PC) Jan 9

This paid expansion adds a new story. The story continues from the ending of Monster Hunter World. CapCom has also improved that hunting actions. The expansion also includes a new headqarters, Seliana. The new base for investigating the Hoarfrost Ranch region. The expansion also comes with new Iceborne armor and weapons.

Puzzle & Dragons Gold (Nintendo Switch) Jan 15

A competitive puzzle action game that features classic Puzzle & Dragon game play. When the player lines up 3 or more of the same colored orbs your monster will attack the opponent’s team. Use your monster’s skills to boost up your attacks and your defensive strength.

Super Crusg KO (PC & Switch) Jan 16

A fast-paced brawler that is set in a vibrant near future city. Players will have to make their way through swarms of deadly robots to save your kidnapped kitten. While doing that you also have to save humanity from an AI apocalypse.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakrarot (PS4, Xbox One, & PC) Jan 17

An action Role-playing game that covers Goku’s story as the player takes him on an adventure through different iconic events from the Dragon Ball Z story. Events ranging from the start of the Saiyan Saga to the end on the Majin buu Saga.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore (Nintendo Switch) Jan 17

Crossover RPG game that combines gameplay, narrative, and aethetic elements from Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensai and the Fire Emblem series. This game takes place in modern-day Tokyo and it features some real life locations, such as Shibuya and Hatajuku. The game centers around hostile beings know as Mirages. They seek to harvest energy, Performa, from humans and are responsible for several disappearances.

This game follows a group of teenagers who becomes allies with the friendly mirages.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection (Nintendo Switch) Jan 21

Also known as ” Rockman Zero & ZX Double Hero Collection”. This is the fifth game for the Mega Man legacy collection series. It contains the 4 games from the Zero series along with the 2 games from the ZX series. It also includes additional content and gameplay modes from both series.

This collection includes the following:

Uragun (PC Steam Early Access) Jan 22 *PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions follow sometime after the full PC release*

A top-down shooter that puts players into a mighty mech unit, challenged with annihilating swarms of smart AI bots flooding the street of a familiar city. To learn more click here.

Kingdom Hearts III: DLC ReMind (PS4) Jan 23

This new DLC adds on to the tale that unfolded during the Kingdom Hearts 3 climax. Sora is determined to rescue Kairi, he travels to the Keyblade Graveyard shortly before the final battle took place.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered (PS4, Xbox One, PC, & Switch) Jan 23

This game follows a young group by the name of the “Crystal Caravans”. This group embarks on an epic journey to search for Myrrh, a liquid needed to cleanse and maintain a crystal protecting their world from the deadly gas known as “Miasma”.

Journey to the Savage Planet (PS4, Xbox, & PC) Jan 28

An adventure game where the players assume the role as an aerospace employee on an inter-planetary mission. Players can traverse alien worlds, catalogue flora and fauna, and battle hostile aliens.

Sisters Royale (PS4 & Switch) Jan 30

A vertical scrolling shooting battle royale game, where five sisters compete over one man. You can pick from five sisters. Players can use standard attacks, summon spirits, and use bombs to defeat enemies.
