Modern Warfare season two is bringing back Ghost to the firefight, it’s also bringing more to the multiplayer experience with maps, modes, and an all-new Battle Pass. Also, players will earn rewards to climb up this season’s ranks with more ribbons to earn, new challenges to complete, and all new missions for multiplayer and Special Ops.
With Season Two, AI-Qatala agents stolen a Soviet nuclear warhead and smuggled it into the city of Verdansk. Combine with previously obtained chemical gas, AI-Qatala’s determined to cut off Verdansk from the rest of the world. While on the brink of global catastrophe, captain Price send Ghost in to track down the location of the warhead and lead key Operators before it is too late.
More Multiplayer Maps
New battlegrounds have and or will be coming to Modern Warfare for the classic Multiplayer, Ground war, and Gunfight game modes. Each of the maps have their own distinct look and feel for a unique, tactical, and grounded gaming experience.
Rust- Standard Multiplayer & Gunfight (Launch Day)
This classic small map is returning. This map is small map for a fast-paced combat, Rust brings the battle to an oil yard in the middle of a desert. This site on the Modern Warfare 2 campaign mission, “End game”, might just be for players who don’t learn the tricks to master this arid field of play. Players utilize this environment for cover and grab the high ground and low ground to take advantage of the enemies.
Atlas superstore- Standard Multiplayer (Launch Day)
This new multiplayer map takes place in a supercenter warehouse that’s been taken over by AI-Qatala forces. Players will battle in dense lanes of traffic, over fallen shelves, and throughout the shipping, receiving, and employee-only areas.
Khandor Hideout- Standard Multiplayer (Mid-Season)
- There’s no information about this map as of right now, but when it drops in mid-season I’ll edit this article with it’s info.
Zhokov Boneyard- Ground War (Launch Day)
This map is a resting place for discarded airplane parts. Zhokov Boneyard is a ground war map in Verdansk. Players battle through this airplan junk yard and avoid the turbulence of the opposing team while capturing your objectives.
Bazaar- Gunfight (Mid Season)
This map is a tightly contained cross-section of the streets of Urzikstan, which was turned into a battleground in Bazaar. Players can experience the tension-filled gunfight while navigating a new zone of combat. The randomized Gunfight loadouts all have a chance to shine as the maps symmetrical layout offers opportunities for the big moments and epic battles.

Call of Duty League Ruleset Playlist (Launch Day)
Fight like the pros in the Call of Duty League ruleset playlist. In this playlist, its settings and available weapons, maps, and modes are all altered, so players can battle like the best.

Gunfight Tournaments (Mid-Season)
Enter the single elimination 2v2 firefight and battle to earn rewards.With 32 teams entering but only one can be the winner. Gunfight Tournaments will be live for a limited time.
This mode is similar to Search & Destroy but this respawn mode puts two teams against each other with the objective of attacking or destroying bomb sites. The attacking team must destroy both bomb sites within the time limit to win the round. Decimating one bomb site adds to your time. Players can destroy, defend, and be mindful of explosives in demolition.
Infected Ground War (Mid-Season)
An outbreak has take place in Ground War, join your fellow survivors to hold off the infected horde until time runs out.
The infected players have limited load-outs but increased movement abilities, so be wary of their crafty play. If you were to get infected. attack with the horde to assault and takedown any remaining survivors in a large scale match of infected.
NVG Reinforce (Mid-Season)
Players battle under the cover of darkness in the NVG Reinforce playlist. The Reinforce is a hybrid objective mde that blends elements from Domination with Search & Destroy.
Players can expect additional modes to be available in the playlists throughout the season.
Season Two Battle Pass
Battle Pass: Free Tiers: The season two battle pass features two free weapons; a lightweight and mobile assault rifle, ‘The Grau’ 5.56 (Tier 15). Which excels at range and a powerful SMG, ‘The Striker 45’ (Tier 31), that has a potential at longer ranges compared to its class with a moderate fire rate. Along the free tiers, players can earn up to 300 Call of Duty points, calling cards, weapon charms, and more.
Battle pass: players that purchase the Battle Pass can unlock up to 100 Tiers of content featuring over 100 items just by playing the game. At Tier 0 players can unlock Ghost, along with additional good like a new operator Mission instantly after picking up the Battle Pass.
Simon “Ghost” Riley originated in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and was a British Special Force operator and commanding officer in Captain Price’s Task Force 141. He’s also an expert at clandestine tradecraft, sabotage, and infiltration.
Alongside Ghost, players that purchase the Battle Pass will have access to weapon blueprints, XP token, Operator skins, challenges, watches, and the ability to earn up to 1,300 CoD points.
Battle Pass Bundle: Players that have bought the Battle Pass Bundle will have access to unlock up to 100 tiers and it’ll give you 20 immediately activated Tier skips.
This bundle can be picked up anytime throughout the season, and it rewards the players on all of their previous tier progression. Giving out any unlocked items that were behind locked tiers while advancing them 20 additional Tiers up the Battle Pass.
The additional content will be arriving in the Modern Warfare store throughout the season, including new Operators Talon, a Canadian Special Forces member, and Mace; A U.S Ranger turned gun for hire. Players can also get additional Blueprints, Operator skins, and more through various store bundles.
Rank Up with New Trials and Missions: Players, grind through the ranks of Season Two by mastering challenges, missions, ribbons, and more XP to collect.
Season One ribbons and final rank will be memorialized and you’ll be starting a new journey towards Officer Rank 155, Here are some ways you can add to your XP and climb the ranks:
Trials are solo ventures, players can earn a star ranking (up to three stars) that give players XP. Four trials will available on launch day:
- Quad Race: Hop on to a ATV and finish the race faster then the other players. Master the course to get the best time and hopefully you earn a three-star ranking and some awesome rewards.
- Fire in the Hole: More explosive version of Cornhole, practice your throwing skills with lethal equipment and toss as many Frgs on target as possible before time runs out.
- Price’s Alley: Quick decisions aren’t always a good decision, sharpen your decision making skills and eliminate the enemy as you face waves of hostiles mixed with civilians.
- Behind Enemy Lines: Do your absolute best in this live fire exercise, find and eliminate all hostiles in the area of operations as qickly as possible.
You can earn rewards and XP by completing daily challenges and missions. Also, new operator missions to earn unique gear are available through the Battle Pass. Along with New missions and challenges tab in Barracks this season are Special Ops missions.
