Pokémon The Movie: Coco Delayed Due to COVID-19

Due to complications caused by the global coronavirus pandemic, Pokémon The Movie: Coco will not premiere in theaters on July 10 as originally planned.

The newest movie is the 33rd such installment in the franchise since 1998. The story follows Ash as he comes across a mysterious boy named Coco, who grew up in Okoya Forest and who believes he is a Pokémon himself. The movie also features a new Mythical Pokémon called Zarude, A dark-grass type expected to eventually arrive in Pokémon Sword and Shield, as well as a shiny Celebi.

This movie is just the newest in the growing list of TV show and movie productions directly impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. No new release date has been determined, and it is uncertain when a new release date will be given.
