Xbox has recently announced they’re doing a Summer Games Fest, which is a demo event that’ll give all the Xbox One players a chance to download 60 plus brand new demo games.
This demo event will run from July 21st to July 27th, and it’s meant to act as the replacement for the in-person demo events like E3, PAX, and Gamescon. Which all of them have been cancelled due to the CoronaVirus. “While we can’t recreate the experience for attending a big show entirely, we can help you get your hands on lots of cool new games early.” – The Official Announcement, Xbox
So, what games will be included for this Demo event? Well, not all of the games have been announced but it is said to have between 75 to 100 games. But I can tell you that there have been some games that have been confirmed:Cris Tales, Destroy All Humans!, Haven, Hellpoint, Skatebird, The Vale: Shadow of the Crown, Raji: An Ancient Epic, and Welcome to Elk.
“Typically, the demos you see in our demo channel are created after the game is completed and or nearly completed and represent the final version. Many of these demos are early and some are for games that won’t be out for quite some time.” So in other words, this means that these games’ll shift and evolve quite a bit after their demo stage, in many cases they won’t be indicative of their final cut.
The game demos will be posted on the Xbox Dashboard for a week along with some potentially getting republished to the Demo channel later on. Meaning, players will have to check them out while you still can or you’ll lose them forever. Once July 21 comes along you can head over to the Xbox One Dash to look for special Game Fest Demo games.
